Free Course Available

“Men (people) are rarely aware of the real reasons which motivate their actions.”
― Edward L. Bernays, Propaganda

As promised, this site, The Engineering of Society, helps you navigate your way through the murky waters of disinformation and manipulation. There is now an hour and a half course that anyone subscribing to the free sporadic newsletter can access.

In case you're reading with with an RSS feed: you subscribe in the right side panel at The Engineering of Society.

The newsletter is not going to come out often or target you to sell lots of expensive products to. You can easily unsubscribe any time. Subscribers will be sent an email with a password and the link to go to a password protected page on http://www.insubordinatebooks.com, the website for my psychological suspense series, The Agents of the Nevermind, which is fiction about social engineering topics that readers of this blog are encountering. Perhaps if you sincerely appreciate the many hours that goes into this blog entirely without pay, you'll even feel like buying one of the e-books for up to three dollars sometime and help it rise in the Amazon ranks so more readers will find entertainment that acknowledges the topics discussed here.

If you subscribe, you can read the booklet, listen to an audio version of it, and also listen to an extended version with casual commentary about every point, which functions as a simple lecture class with over 50 "assignments" or steps to take before you decide to believe what you are told. It's divided into eight recordings, so you can take it at your own pace when you have a chance.

In a way, it's basic, obvious stuff, but still, reminding yourself to do this procedure with each new bit of information, and also when reviewing old information, can be completely life-changing. Even if you do this almost every time, if you forget to do it even once, you may find yourself going off on a strange tangent naively following a disinformation agent into a conceptual abyss.

Get this practice into your subconscious so it's an automatic response to information people are selling you as fact. Never blindly believe. Always look up the background, dangers, and associations online, using only unbiased, vetted, non-Intelligence related sources.

Gift for Subscribers

via GIPHY

Yay!

Time to party. If you want it you can have it -- a 20 page PDF to keep handy while you train yourself to hack that moment when you're told something, for example on the nightly news. Breaking the habit of believing what we hear automatically is mostly a matter of focusing attention on it, getting used to looking up people's backgrounds, and also knowing what to look for. I plan to do an annotated audio version to accompany it, which subscribers can listen to and be free from reading for awhile.

This little cheat sheet can't go into all the details of which departments of what schools so-called authorities might have gone to at certain time periods that would indicate they were part of a CIA program. For that you can just stick with the blog, or search it out yourself. Jan Irvin's Brain which is in the growing Links section on the right side of the home page is a good place to start to see the interconnections.

And while you're at it, check out not only the new links but lots of new videos in the Documentary section. Actually every section has more new material, so knock yourself out.

You might already be pretty good at stepping back and questioning everything, though a little checklist to make sure you're doing it each time can't hurt. Just looking at it once will burn it in your brain so you won't be as likely to forget. You might want to send it over to someone else who needs the practice.

Or, heck, maybe you don't like it at all, but you'd still like to sign up for it because that's how you get the new Newsletter-to-be. I won't be sending it out often and making you wish you hadn't asked for it. No no no. It will be only occasional when there's really something to say. The sign up form is on the website itself, on the right, under the images such as what you see here - with a different sample page given.

Glossolalia: A Psychological Suspense Thriller

Nancy works at her uncle's pesticide company. She doesn't agree with using poisons, but it's the only job she can keep; she goes into strange fugues, waking up out of them playing the piano, smelling of strange men, wearing costumes she doesn't recognize. A song haunts her that seems to hold the answer.

She sees a crime in progress and in her valiant quest to stop it discovers many more layers during the twists and turns.

This Psychological Suspense Thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat. Sign up for the mailing list at Insubordinate Books to keep tabs on it and watch videos about the real-life background that affects you today.

Novel about a Crime that Poisons the World

via GIPHY

What do you do when the proper authority to report a crime to -- is the criminal?

Nancy just wants to keep the only job she can get. No one else would put up with her fugues. Who else but her uncle would hire her? So she works at his poison company even though it goes against her beliefs.

Hell, everything she puts in her mouth goes against her beliefs. But she stays in shape because she's a wild kicker; her idea of fun is competing in Karate tournaments. Besides, defending herself could be necessary. She apparently gets into quite the scrapes in unknown territories.

Accompanied by Dog, and visions of Bennu, the traditional Egyptian flamingo god who is the shadow self of Osiris, she plays out her roles in the deadly game.

She watches what she suspects is a crime in progress at the company, and a death defying chase ensues. Can she stay alive long enough to find out what happened and save the lives of countless people, animals, and plants?

Only if she can discover who she is in time.
